The bolt is loose, but stuck inside the bushing race, or inner sleeve. So the bolt turns a little, twisting the bushing, but not breaking loose. Jul 14, removing trailing arm/stuck bushing. Jump to Latest Follow is to just take the trailing arm and strut/controller arm assemblies to a shop to remove the dead bolts and bushings. Now, I can get the shock/controller arm off, but I am having an issue with the compensator arm bolt.

Jump to Latest Follow the lower control arm may need to be replaced and there is an even bigger bushing bolt on the lower control arm waiting to be removed. You can probably use that ball joint tool to remove and replace the bushing. I have one, and I've changed similar sized bushings with shrubcleanup.buzzted Reading Time: 7 mins.
